In this Substack live event from earlier today, I discussed Trump administration’s responses to a barrage of media questions about why the data on ICE arrests and detention don’t fit the administration’s claims about focusing on serious criminals and terrorists.

In the course of working through ICE’s mostly misleading counter-claims, however, I also found inaccurate points raised by CBS in an interview with Thomas Homan that illustrate where the news media still has lots of room to improve.
