This is a great analysis. And just like CBP One we see the outsourcing of asylum. And then we see it outsourced to private companies. Because that's what the U.S. always does. And there will be next to no transparency.

As a retired senior level Border Patrol Agent and now author on the subject, what this administration is doing is completely illegal and unconstitutional.

The worst part is that it is all done intentionally to destroy our immigration system and upend the demographics of our nation. The staggering numbers do not lie...

We’ve done this in Australia with offshore refugee processing centres and it’s an absolute blight on our nation’s soul. We’ve had suicides, poor mental health outcomes, total secrecy about the process and the centres themselves. It’s a BAD idea! Horrific idea. And it’s all geared towards discouraging asylum seeking, and lining the pockets of companies in the government sphere of influence at the same time.

It will be up to Congress to demand a certain minimum level of transparency. The Admin may be beginning to stand up RPCs by shifting funds around. But they’ll be asking funding for the program in next year’s budget and in budgets going forward. It’s enough of an innovation and involves foreign-located facilities that both Oversight and further budget battles will demand a lot of info. The reporting standards can be set (and reset as the program evolves) by Congress
