Based on new data released today by us at the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University, deportations show a significant decline during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. On average, about 20,500 deportations took place each month during the five-year period between June 2015 and February 2020. But by June 2020, that number was less than 6,000.
